I and Online Bus Booking

I and Online Bus Booking

Home is where our heart is someone said, I am no exception to this. As I frequently go home I will always first look to book elite and coveted train booking through jet fast IRCTC and ending with 30 minutes to 45 minutes without getting a tatkal ticket  and sometimes worst case is money would have been deducted from my bank and ticket will be failed leading me to get frustrated. So as a wise man now I am (!!!). Booking a bus ticket has been never that much difficult but cost more bucks from my packet. So I was looking through the google to save few bucks in the normal bus booking website.

Here are my learnings that are time bound in nature but can vary with the current scenario so better google yourself before you book a bus ticket (not needed to tell J), nonetheless I would share my thoughts and experiences with you so that you could save your time and few bucks next time you going to book online bus ticket.

Ticketgoose.com mostly offers 5% offer currently valid till March 31, 2014 provided you book your ticket through ICICI net banking, debit card, credit card. Also if you book return journey together you can earn 5 % offer by default. It gives 6% off when you share the link in your Facebook/Twitter. This second offer can be used for any bank payment and both offer cannot be clubbed. You can note that this offer is also time bound and can be changed anytime.  Click here.

Makemytrip.com also gives you 5% cashback valid till March 31, 2014 with the same condition as mentioned above if that is one way booking. But if you know your return date you can book another ticket using this booking ID which in turn will earn you INR 50 instant discount from your total ticket fare. If you have payback account and points in that you can redeem the same while you book bus ticket. For those who doesn’t get what payback point, it is rewards partner with multiple shops and you could find more @ payback.in. If you have Citibank rewards points you can redeem using that. This site gives good cash value when you redeem citi rewards points. Click here.

Goibibo.com grants you more than the normal that is 10% off (maximum INR 50 only) when you book a bus ticket if the total fare is less that INR 999 and flat INR 115 OFF  if the amount is more than INR 999. This is limited till Feb 28, 2014. You can also choose to get 500 off each in two different online shops that can be redeemed against purchase. These offer as always has to be met given terms and conditions. You can also redeem Citibank rewards point but this redemption will provide less cash value against other redemption so this is not my suggestion to redeem citi rewards points. Click here.

Abhibus.com provides 10% off to the max INR 80 using ICICI net banking, debit card, credit card till March 31, 2014. Click here .

Redbus.in provides flat INR 100 off per seat when you book the tickets from selected cities and it is on still Jan 31, 2014. Click here.

Still more offers can be found at Link 1 , Link 2 .

Please note that all these are my personal points and I am not brand ambassador for any above mentioned product/services. J J

More can be googled… J Have a happy booking! As everyone wish it should be!!
